Give a little background of how you fell in love with singing and writing songs and lyrics.
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love to sing. Singing is instant gratification, it’s the cure for most any down moment and the gift you can take anywhere you travel. My passion for singing, writing and sharing stories has never wavered. I am completely drawn to the beauty of melody, its ability to carry stories with such ease; how it graciously intertwines with the lyric, leaving the listener changed forever. Music, its creation, the love of it, is part of who I am, and I am so grateful that God has allowed me to experience it at this level.
What are your musical influences?
I have been influenced by everything from pop to jazz, rock, old school funk and alternative. Learning piano has also given me a new found love for the eloquence of classical piano.
What do you hope people will get out of your songs with InTwos?
I hope those who take the time to listen come away refreshed, interested in hearing more, wanting to learn what the song is about and what drives us. Essentially, I want them to be steered towards Christ, because that is in essence who we’re doing this for and why we strive to share our stories.
